In Umango 20 or later, where scanning is performed within the browser, the Umango Scan Actuator application needs to be installed and running. The correct version of the Scan Actuator is dependent on the TWAIN drivers that are installed. If you are using 64bit drivers (unlikely) then be sure to install the 64 bit Actuator etc.
Umango 20 or later does not support ISIS scanner drivers.
Umango Extract supports any TWAIN compliant device where the TWAIN driver is installed that matches the architecture. ie. If you installed the 64bit version of Umango Extract you will require the 64bit TWAIN drivers to be installed. Similarly, 32bit version of Umango Extract requires the 32bit TWAIN drivers.
In the past (in our i2 Scan application) we also supported ISIS compliant devices.
