Xerox Reports Excessive Failure Attempts

When trying to install Umango onto a device you may see the error appear "Error while installing Xerox Embedded application" that states "Excessive Failure Attempts".

This error can occur if you have the incorrect username and password set up in Umango for the device. Even if you then set the correct username and password you can be locked out for a while. To reset the lockout, you can go to the following page:

http://{device-address}/diagnostics/ipLockout.php

To set the password for the device in Umango, right click on the device/devices and select "Enter the password for the selected device". After adding the password (and resetting the IP lockout if necessary) retry deploying to the device by right-clicking the Umango Job in the job list and selecting "Refresh Devices".
