Performing a Umango Server Migration

Performing a Umango server migration/relocation is normally very simple. It's typically just a matter of exporting the settings of the jobs that are required and importing them on the new server once activation is complete. However, if job cache, processing history logs and resident batches need to be migrated too then the process is a little more involved and is slightly different depending on the version of Umango being migrated.

Note: If the new server's IP will be different to the old server then you will need to uninstall Umango from any MFD's prior to uninstalling Umango from the old server.

Migrating Umango 23

  3. Uninstall Umango from the old server (this will de-activate the license ready for re-activation)
  4. Complete the installation on the new server
  5. Stop the Umango service
  6. Restore the database
  7. Restore the folder data
  8. Restart the Umango service

Migrating Umango 20 or 21

Migration of a Umango 20/21 along with related data should be performed in the following sequence:

    C:\ProgramData\Umango\db\i2.mde
  8. Restart the Umango service
  9. Activate Umango
